The poncho is knitted from the top down, with increases in the centre front and centre back.
You can choose to make a version with a high ribbed collar or one without. Different bind-offs are also possible for the bottom edge. All these options are described in the pattern.
First, the poncho itself is knitted without the high neck. It is then bound off in your desired way, and stitches are picked up for the high neck if desired. The poncho is one size, as the length can be adjusted to your preference. The longer the poncho, the wider it becomes, therefore, this is a very simple project. The increases in the centre front and back make the poncho ideal for creating beautiful multi-coloured stripes.
