Before you buy

The wool we sell is raw wool from the West Jutland moorland, which is good for dogma knitting. Dogma knitting is a technique where you pull threads from the raw wool and knit directly with them. You can learn to dogma knit at our workshops or try it yourself. You receive the wool exactly as it was shorn from the sheep. This means it has not been washed – so there may be a blade of grass and a little dirt in the wool, but basically it is naturally clean and full of lanolin.

When buying wool, you need to decide how much you want to buy. The amount of wool depends on how thick a thread you make and what needle size you knit with, so it very much depends on your knitting style and what you want to knit. If you are knitting a vest, 400 grams of wool is usually enough, and for a sweater, 600 grams is often sufficient
